LARGE ANIMAL ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Deadline for Small Animal Abstract Submission is April 15, 2018.

The submission website includes complete instructions, deadlines, and submission examples. No changes in abstracts will be allowed after submission.

Abstracts should represent original research not yet published or presented elsewhere and not to be published or presented prior to the 2018 IVECCS. Authors of successful abstracts will be notified via e-mail by June 15, 2018. Abstracts may be presented as either oral or poster format. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care; therefore, close attention must be paid to the format instructions. Failure to follow formatting instructions will result in rejection. No changes will be allowed after submission.

If you are an approved ACVECC, ACVIM, ACVS, or ACVAA resident or ACVECC fellow or enrolled in Large Animal/Equine specific internship, please indicate so on the submission form. House officer’s abstracts will be presented in the same session and special recognition will be given to the most outstanding paper by a resident. If you completed your training program after July 15, 2018, you may present in the Resident’s Forum if the research was conducted while you were a resident. Indicate the termination date of your residency in your cover e-mail and provide your mentor’s name and e-mail address.

Oral presentations of accepted abstracts will be on Saturday, September 15, 2018, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Presentations will be twelve minutes in length followed by a three-minute question period. Specific instructions for poster presentations will be sent to poster presenters. A designated time will be determined for all poster presenters to attend their posters to answer questions.

Authors of abstracts are reminded they must register for the meeting and that registration is not complimentary.
