LARGE ANIMAL ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Deadline for Large Animal Abstract Submission is JUNE 15, 2019.

Abstracts should represent original research not yet published or presented elsewhere and not to be published or presented prior to the 2019 IVECCS. Authors of successful abstracts will be notified via e-mail by July 1, 2019. Abstracts may be presented as either oral or poster format. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care; therefore, close attention must be paid to the format instructions. Failure to follow formatting instructions will result in rejection. No changes will be allowed after submission.

If you are an approved ACVECC, ACVIM, ACVS, or ACVAA resident or ACVECC fellow or enrolled in Large Animal/Equine specific internship, please indicate so on the submission form. House officer’s abstracts will be presented in the same session and special recognition will be given to the most outstanding paper by a resident, intern or fellow. If you completed your training program after July 1, 2019, you may present in the residents forum if the research was conducted while you were a resident. Indicate the termination date of your residency in your cover e-mail and provide your mentor’s name and e-mail address.

Oral presentations of accepted abstracts will be on Saturday, September 07, 2018, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Presentations will be twelve minutes in length followed by a three minute question period. Specific instructions for poster presentations will be sent to poster presenters. A designated time will be determined for all poster presenters to attend their posters to answer questions.

Authors of abstracts are reminded they must register for the meeting and that registration is not complimentary. Specific information regarding format and submission will be available through the IVECCS homepage at https://catalyst.omnipress.com/#collection/504/submission

A web-based submission and review process will be used and complete submission instructions will be available on the submission website.
