Emerging Small Animal Infectious Diseases for the Veterinary Criticalist



The 2008 ACVECC Postgraduate Review promises to be a great day of continuing education! Our 2007 Mara Scientific Achievement Award Winner, Dr. Dougie Macintire, is teaming with Dr. Leah Cohn to present a program of new and emerging infectious diseases in veterinary medicine. Our meeting is being held immediately prior to the International Conference on Emerging Infectious Disease, a bi-annual conference presented by the American Society for Microbiology and the Centers for Disease Control, to address current work on surveillance, epidemiology, research, communication and training, bioterrorism, and preventions and control of emerging infectious diseases, both in the United States and abroad. The ACVECC PGR will be held Sunday, March 16, 2008 beginning at 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM, on the schedule below. We are pleased to announce the ongoing generous sponsorship of Pfizer to defray costs associated with this meeting.
