On April 4-7, VECCS welcomed 254 attendees for the 2019 Spring Symposium at the Marriott Los Suenos Ocean and Golf Resort in Costa Rica. Featured speaker Heidi Barnes Heller, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology) and Adesola Odunayo, DVM, DACVECC, along with adjunct speakers Steven Epstein, DVM, DACVECC, Elisa Mazzaferro, DVM, DACVECC, and Elke Rudloff, DVM, DACVECC, gave excellent lectures on Emergency and Critical Care Neurology. In addition to 16.5 hours of quality CE, attendees had ample time to network with their peers, enjoy the beautiful resort, and explore Costa Rica. One of the many highlights was the Thursday evening outdoor reception that offered attendees a chance to enjoy an authentic Costa Rican dinner, dancing, and conversation. This year’s symposia was held at the Marriott Los Suenos Ocean and Golf Resort, a breathtaking and luxurious destination resort property. The resort is located on the Western side of Costa Rica, nestled between tropical rain forest and warm waters of Pacific Ocean.
