Topic: Onboarding and Orientation for GenZ

Description: This one hour interactive session will introduce the concept of “loss of social self” as a feature of GenZ based on a survey of 48,000 members of the generation and how increasing isolation from the social fabric as a feature of the generation can be addressed with an inclusive and holistic onboarding process. The session will use a combination of liberating structures as well as lecture format to create new onboarding solutions as a group. The lecture will lead the learner through what is typically thought of on-boarding by “the management team” vs what the average GenZ employee is looking for and getting out of onboarding and how we can meet both stakeholders’ needs. The focus will be on onboarding new graduate veterinarians however the concepts apply to all new employees who are part of GenZ.
