The VECCS Power of Ten Leadership Academy helps emerging leaders develop their skills including understanding personality dynamics, navigating mental health first aid, promoting effective communication and well-being, setting meaningful goals, legal and ethical considerations, and mastering media relations and management.

Participants receive full tuition scholarships to the program and complimentary registration to IVECCS 2025, where Power of Ten will graduate and be recognized. Valued at over $5,000 per participant, this program is a powerful benefit for VECCS members. However, the program’s strength lies in its small cohort, fostering close connections and accountability.
  • Develop fundamental leadership skills, enhance personal branding, and sharpen emotional intelligence.
  • Deepen their understanding of communication styles and skills.
  • Experience a supportive environment that fosters meaningful relationships and lifelong collaborations.
  • Heighten their self-awareness and learn to maximize interactions with those around them.
  • Develop a vision of the leader they can become and understand what it takes to achieve that vision.

Participants are expected to attend all modules and check-in calls between each module. Prospective participants should review the curriculum and schedule before applying. Attendance at all events is mandatory for the Power of Ten experience. Sessions include three in-person in San Antonio, TX, one in-person in San Diego, CA before IVECCS 2025, three virtual sessions, and check-in calls between each module. Because of this time commitment, especially on some weekdays, it is crucial that participants’ employers are aware of and
are supportive of their commitment to this program.
